Who we are
L & S Excavation is a family-run excavation and concrete crew working across the Greater Chattanooga area in Tennessee and North Georgia. The website is operated for L & S to provide service information, project examples, and a way to request an estimate.
What we collect
When you use this site, we may receive the following kinds of information:
- Information you provide directly. When you use the L & S Assistant chat or the contact form, we collect the messages you send and any details you choose to share — typically your name, phone number or email, project address or city, project description (including sizes and timeline), and any notes.
- Information automatically collected. Standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, the page you came from, and the date/time of the request). This is used to operate the site and prevent abuse.
- Cookies and similar technologies. The site uses essential cookies to keep the site working (for example, a session identifier when you submit a form). With your consent, we may also use cookies for analytics or to remember your accessibility preferences. You can manage your choices through the cookie consent banner at the bottom of the page.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry, schedule a walk-through, and prepare a written estimate.
- To maintain and improve the website, fix bugs, and keep it secure.
- To comply with applicable law and our legal obligations.
We do not sell your information. We do not share your information with advertisers.
Third parties we rely on
We use a small set of vetted service providers to operate this site. They process information only on our behalf and only to provide their service:
- Groq — generates the back-and-forth conversation when you use the L & S Assistant.
- SMTP2GO — delivers email (confirmations to you and intake summaries to the L & S team).
- Mapbox — renders the service-area maps.
- YouTube — embeds project clips on the videos page.
- Pressidium Cookie Consent & UserWay — power the cookie banner and the accessibility widget.
- Web host — serves the site (information passes through standard web infrastructure).
How long we keep it
Project-intake details are kept as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and provide an estimate, and after that for our ordinary business and tax records. Server logs are retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask for a copy of the project details we have for you, or ask us to delete them.
- You can opt out of non-essential cookies through the cookie banner.
- If you're in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as California or the EU), those apply.

Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
